Itinerary

1. 

   Day 1

   Arrive in Reykjavík

   • Arrival in IcelandAirport pickup to match your flight, then transfer to the hotel to settle in and rest.

   Day 2

   Reykjavík & Aurora At Sea

   • Blue LagoonSoak in Iceland's most famous geothermal spa, a milky blue pool set in a black lava field.
   • HallgrímskirkjaVisit the landmark church of Reykjavík, known for its striking modern facade.
   • Harpa Concert HallAdmire the glass honeycomb architecture and the views across the old harbour.
   • Aurora hunting at seaSail out of the harbour, away from the city lights, to look for the Northern Lights.

   Day 3

   Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss & Reynisfjara

   • SeljalandsfossWatch this waterfall fall like a curtain, with a path that leads right behind the water.
   • SkógafossStand close to one of Iceland's classic waterfalls and feel the spray from its 60-metre drop.
   • Reynisfjara Black Sand BeachWalk the black volcanic sand and look out at the basalt columns and Atlantic waves.

   Day 4

   Jökulsárlón & Diamond Beach

   • Jökulsárlón Glacier LagoonSee huge blocks of ice drifting slowly across the lagoon below the glacier.
   • Diamond BeachWatch clear ice wash up on the black sand, glittering like scattered diamonds.

   Day 5

   Katla Ice Cave & Hella

   • Katla Ice CaveHead deep into the glacier to walk through chambers of clear blue ice.
   • Hella at your own paceSpend the rest of the day slowly, wandering this quiet countryside town.

   Day 6

   The Golden Circle

   • Þingvellir National ParkWalk the rift valley where two continental plates pull apart, beside a wide lake.
   • Geysir Geothermal AreaWatch Strokkur send a column of boiling water into the air every few minutes.
   • GullfossSee the river drop in two great steps into a deep canyon, loud and full of spray.

   Day 7

   Snæfellsnes Peninsula

   • KirkjufellPhotograph the most distinctive mountain in west Iceland, standing alone above the coast.
   • BúðakirkjaVisit the small black timber church that stands on its own in an old lava field.
   • ArnarstapiFollow the clifftop path past sea arches and rock stacks above the Atlantic.
   • LóndrangarSee the twin basalt pinnacles that rise straight out of the sea.
8. 

   Day 8

   Depart for home

   • Farewell & DepartureConclude your Icelandic journey and head home with memories of a land of ice and fire.
